User Reviews about TMNT 2
As a TMNT fan, I looked forward to a old style beat-em-up game featuring the Turtles. While it has its moments, sometimes it feels like it drags on and on. On occation, there were time when you thought you were hitting the enemy and you weren't exactly in front of them and they come up and hit you. However, the comic cut scenes were cool. -- Fun game but not perfect.
I bought this game for my nephew for Christmas- he loves it. I knew exactly what he wanted so it was very easy to pick it out. -- Great gift
Just when everyone stopped caring about the teenage mutant ninja turtles, the game finally got back-on-track after tons of awful incarnations on various systems. This one that Amazon refers to as "TMNT 2" but elsewhere and on the box is known as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Arcade Attack" is an homage to the original button-masher complete with a coin-op style continue system. There are more complex moves and a combo and co-op system (co-op can be CPU or human controlled), but the turtles on the DS are back to doing what they do best...basic beat 'em up action. My main complain is the occasionally awkward gameplay due to the graphics. This is essentially a 2D game rendered in 3D, but unlike "New Super Mario Bros." which did the same graphical concept masterfully, here it takes some getting used to and one only wonders how perfect this game could have been in old-school style enhanced graphics. -- Just when everyone stopped caring, TMNT got good again...
