User Reviews about Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword
i good game except for the you have to play it sideways with the stick
other then that it a great game -- good game, but must play it sideways
I remember playing this game when I was a teenager, and I am glad I get to play as an adult. It is non stop fun. -- Grown and loving it!
The game is graphically beautiful and the animation is insuperable. The controllers are a lil' chaotic and the levels are kind of repetitive as well. If they're planning marketing another Ninja Gaiden DS game, I hope that they design an enhanced version. This one is fine and entertaining, but it can be fix as a game. I recommend this game in spite of these observations. -- Nice game
Ninja Gaiden
This game is simply amazing. The controls are somewhat intuitive, but it's easy to get used to especially with onscreen instructions for new moves. The storybook mode is interesting to say the least, but they didn't forget the left-handed users. Under Options, you can opt to flip the screens for left-handed use. The graphics are top notch, although some of the perspectives are awkward to view. The sound effects are acceptable, but the "voices" are simply grunts, snickers, or short sound bites. Considering modern technology has advanced to the point where I can record 2 hours of 640x480 video footage on a card that is one half the size of a DS cartridge, I'm surprised that the audio is so low-quality on this game. The cutscenes get very annoying because there's no easy way to scroll past them quickly. The biggest selling point of this game is the intuitive use of the stylus. As a result, I highly recommend you invest in a screen protector. After a few sessions of Ninja Gaiden, my screen protector was scuffed up. The protector helps reduce wear and tear on your touch screen.
Pros: Great gameplay, excellent graphics, unique storybook mode and engaging controls.
Cons: Long cutscenes that can't be skipped, lackluster audio
Overall: 4/5 stars
