For those that don't know, this game is the sequel to the much-derided Tank Beat DS. You control your platoon of three tanks, using the touch screen on a map. The top screen shows the action in a 3d environment. Tanks are controlled by drawing paths with your stylus. Attacking other tanks is done with the touch screen on the map, as well. There are 60 something unlockable tanks from wwII. There are three campaigns- German, Soviet and American. The environments are all pretty bland, blocks of impassable forests are pretty much it. The tanks themselves are fairly well-modelled and look pretty accurate. You won't have a lot of time to look at them, since the action gets very hectic, issuing orders to your platoon in the heat of battle. One minor complaint- You cannot switch 3d views from tank to tank. You may only view the action from your command tank's perspective. This is a minor caveat, as the touch screen map shows your tank's position and the enemy. You can set your other tanks to defend or attack aggressively. Enemy tanks are numerous and aggressive, so some tactical thinking is required. One thing you MUST understand is that these are wwII tanks, not M-1 Abrams that can run at 60mph. These are slow, lumbering beasts that crawl along at 20-30mph. This means that this is NOT a fast-paced shooter. This is a wwII tank simulator. The slow movement pace will put off some people. The battles however are frantic and desperate. If you liked Panzer Commander for PC, you will like this game. The game has difficulty levels, but anything above "easy" mode is nearly impossible. HAB also features single card download play, which is great because you only need one copy of the game and human opponents will not be as formidable enemies as the vicious AI. I wish it would have more choices on multi-player. Otherwise an excellent game. On mission mode, I like that it has a lot of tanks to choose from. -- A Good Game
