User Reviews about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized

I played through more than half of the campaign. As a NDS game, the graphics suck; but probably the best 3D graphics you could get out of a NDS. The campaign story is stupid. You suppose to find a nuke that some dude is going to kill terrorists with and stop him from killing them. I don't get it. More than half of the campaign all you do is search through warehouses with robots and stuff. In every level of the game, you play with only 2 other people in your squad. In the SAS, both of them look exactly alike. The teammates are idiots; they miss probably 99% of the time trying to shoot enemies, and when they are all dead they shoot into the sky and at walls where nothing is. Like idiots. The enemies are easy to kill, most of the time they are staying still. All you have to do is shoot them once in the head. Like in most of the other COD games, enemies are stupid and take 10 seconds to kill you when you are right infront of them. This game is different. They aren't idiots, so if you get hit about 4 times, your done for. Controls in the game are pretty nice. There are both left/right hand controls, and you can change the sensitivity of the touch screen. Moving the stylus half way across the screen (at max sensitivity) makes you almost go 360 degrees. The campaign is okay, you can look past all the drags easily. I bought this game for the multiplay though. Multiplay on NDS FPS games are super fun, especially if you have 5 swearing, screaming idiot friends. That's what I got. There are 9 great maps and most of the COD game modes. In COD 4 NDS, you can play multiplayer with 3 friends with one game card. That doesn't happen in CODMW2 DS. You have to have multi game cards. You probably won't have a friend with the same game locally, so you can also use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. I tried to set up a connection, but my internet isn't compatible or whatever with the gamecard. That means I can't go online to play multiplayer. Nobody I locally know has this game, so I have no freaking idea how multiplayer is like. All I know is every 50 people you kill, you unlock new weapons; and you can play with up to 5 other people. I wish I could do that.

This game is not all that bad. If you just want to shoot people and don't care about how cheesy the campaign is, you should get this game. The multiplayer is the best part, with up to 6 people shooting up eachother on 9 maps and a whole bunch of game modes. This is the perfect multiplayer game with only one problem: you can't play single-card matches with friends without the game.

I give Call of Duty: Mobilized (Modern Warfare 2) for the Nintendo DS 3/5 stars. It's fun for multiplayer, but don't expect to set up the wi-fi so easily. :) -- Lame and Sucky
So...I've heard what people have said, and I've played it. Usually the multiplayer online isn't the BEST, but it gets the job done. I much prefer playing with friends and find the lag to be little to none. As for the graphics...good enough. I love the reload animations, guns and sounds which remind me of Modern Warfare 2.

The reason so many people complain, is that they forget something... ONE: BUY A GODFORSAKEN Thylus, or Ds Wrist Strap for six dollars. That way you aren't cramping up. They are under ten bucks and last a good while. And since this is a FPS, you need one. Even IGN points out that having a ds strap for ANY fps on the ds, helps it out infinitely.

I would reccomend this game to any Call of Duty fans, as long as they accomplish the above. As for the weapons and campaign...I loved them, and kind of was disappointed that you couldn't just unlock them during campaign. But all well. Better than no auto shotty's right?

Lol.

This game is awesome! Although I didn't get it on Amazon.com (I got it at Target while on Christmas Vacation), that doesn't mean I can't review it on here. All together, for a DS FPS game, it is a very good buy. Now, most people say that, "DS shooters aren't real! Get a life!", or (about Call of Duty on the DS), "Does it have Nazi-Zombies?", "No...", "Then that isn't a real Call of Duty game.", so what? At least it's on the Nintendo DS.

I think that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Mobilized is a great game for any FPS fan. Here are the Pros and Cons about the game:

-- PROS --

*Pretty good campaign/story.

*3 difficulties. The Hardest difficulty is VERY CHALLENGING, which is rare in ANY NON-NINTENDO BRAND GAME.

*Bonus games! Survival, Arcade, Challenge and Mini-games, which make the game last even longer!

*Quick-play! Go back and replay the levels that you have beaten in Campaign mode.

*Collectibles! Hidden Star-Shaped items in each level (except the AC-130, Black Hawk gunner and Tank levels). Similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's Intel feature.

*Multiplayer! Local Multiplayer and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection! You can now play against 5 other players (compare to Call of Duty: World at War's 3 other players on the DS), making up to 6 player matches!

*Unlocks!

*Achievements! Do certain things while playing in Campaign, Quick-play and Multiplayer to achieve certain stuff. (i.e. Get 5000 Multiplayer kills to earn the achievement of "Multiplayer Madness", Get 250 single-player kills with a pistol to earn the achievement of "The Hard Way", etc.)

*Statistics! See your stats for Single-Player and Multi-Player. (The Achievements page is under here.)

*Training Mission! If you remember playing "F.N.G" from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the level has been downsized/remodeled and put into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Mobilized as the Training Mission!

*Graphics! Since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: World at War on the DS, the graphics have been updated. Modern Warfare Mobilized has a significant up-scale of graphics since Call of Duty 4.

*Not as many glitches as the past few games.

-- CONS --

Okay, this is mostly stuff for Wi-Fi.

*Multiplayer Matches (specifically Wi-Fi). It is hard to find matches on Wi-Fi. Don't expect to get a full 6 player match every time you play on Wi-Fi.

*Create-A-Class? No, there isn't a create-a-class feature. There are also none of the following:

*Perks
*Titles (Only your name is shown.)
*Emblems
*Killstreaks
*Chat

... Okay! n-Space basically screwed up Wi-Fi on the game. However, after playing a few matches, you won't really care about this stuff.

Also, n-Space saved our butts by putting in a Friend Code feature. If you want to get matches, use Friend Codes. You can find them all over the internet.

So, all together I give this game a (drum-roll).....

9.4/10!

If you have the game and want to fight, put your friend code in the comments. Mine is below:

This was my son's requested xmas gift. He did not enjoy this game as much as the older Call of Duty 2 game set for PS2. DS' screen may be too small to play this type of action games as much. -- Not for DS
