User Reviews about Advance Wars: Days of Ruin

This is an epic game. The story is pretty sweet, and the missions offer challenging obstacles, however this game is a an exercise in frustration especially some of the later missions, but overall the story characters graphics and game play are solid. -- Days of Ruin
Like strategy games? Own a DS?

The "Add to Cart" button is up there. You're welcome. -- Nintendo delivers with a great franchise
I played Dual Strike and had to have this game. It is everything I hoped for and more! SO ADDICTING!!! If you liked Dual Strike, you will like this game! -- ADDICTING!!!
I must say I love this game! But it also really fits me. I love strategy war games (ie: Panzer Tactics).

I've had it in my DS for months now and am still playing through the maps. Some maps take days to complete (with up to 3 computer opponents against me). They are a cross between puzzles and war games, like chess on steroids. If you like this type of game this one is VERY well done! -- I love this game!
The new darker, more involved story line in "Days of Ruin" did nothing for me... that isn't the strength of this game. I've enjoyed every Advance Wars game, but the last DS release was far to dependent overblown CO powers. Too many of the levels were an exercise in exploiting your own CO powers, or finding a way to neutralize the enemy CO powers. "Days of Ruin" takes the strategy back to the basics. There are still CO powers, and they still matter, but they are limited... and must be used intelligently. Like I said, this game takes the series back to the simplistic (but deep) strategy gameplay that made the first game so great. The first Advance Wars game is one of my favorite portable games ever made, and I do believe this game is its equal. -- Advanced Wars Strategy Perfection
